Have you ever had a carpet cleaned and noticed it looked dirty again surprisingly quickly?
Often the culprit isn’t new dirt.
It’s residue.
Cleaning detergents are designed to cling to soils. That’s how they capture soil during cleaning. The problem is that the detergents don’t know the difference between soil and fiber.
If those detergents aren’t completely rinsed away, they remain in the carpet. And they are incredibly hard to completely rinse away.
Residue behaves like adhesive. Dust and soil cling to it almost immediately.
That’s why some carpets look great for a week… and then slowly darken again.
Cleaning that leaves the fiber free of sticky residues tends to stay cleaner much longer.
Cleaning shouldn’t create a magnet for new dirt.
